Wynne pointed out Utah is the state with the most giving at 6.4%; Californians give much less at 2.2%.

But our members give!  Rich is celebrating his wedding anniversary.  Robin celebrates that Max is now 24.  Tom had a birthday to confess.  Jim said he regretted missing our parties, but next week he will be away on vacation.  And Razi has his 29^th wedding anniversary.  Thanks for the many donations to the club.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Marie thanked Robin, Beverly and Barbara for Tuesday’s big “wrapping day” for Christmas Lives!  Actually, Marie still has the extras to wrap and she worked far more hours than any of us contribute.  Next Tuesday is the big day as we go to the Union Hall on the corner of Devonshire and Winnetka.  We will host 38 families with over 100 children who get shoes and a jacket to take home.  Marie needs greeters, people to seat our guests, more Rotarians who will serve the drinks and help with the food that is coming from In and Out Burger, as well as some of Santa’s elves, and photographer so the kids take home photos.

Marc reported next Wednesday we have planned BINGO at Birmingham again.  This may be our last time.  He also represented the club at Barnes and Nobel where the students chosen by the Boys and Girls Club were each given $25.00 worth of books.  Marc helped them find the books and make their choices.

Next week on Thursday bring a wrapped gift – or a white elephant wrapped – to exchange.

On March 5^th is our “Service Above Self” dinner at the Odyssey – instead of a Thursday lunch at the Aero Squadron.  Wynne has about 10 different groups that we have been helping who will nominate someone for a “Service Above Self Award.”
