DJ Sun Address to the Club
He thanked Les Grossman (PDG) and Richard Miller (PP) for their good work and their contributions to the GVNR and Rotary at large. He said he had been fully briefed by the Board of Directors about the impact GVNR has within the community. He spoke about the importance of networking among members, which will be good for our individual businesses. Also, Rotary International had come-up with a new program called Young Professional Association, in order to bring in young people into rotary. The Key word from RI is FLEXIBILITY. Individual clubs in the district are to come up with their own ideas and ways to set-up this program. Clubs will be getting more information on this as time goes on.
He reminded members about the International Convention coming up in Korea from May 28th – June 1st 2016 and encouraged members to attend. He said about 50,000 attendees are expected to be at the International Convention this year.
At the end of his address, the Governor answered questions from members of the audience.
