Neither the sizzling hot valley sun or a temperature which soared to105 degree F., stopped shoppers from sorting through the large variety of items at the recent Mid SFV Rotary Club's rummage sale, August 30 at the Canoga Bowl in Canoga Park.

The rummage sale was advertised to start at 8:00 a.m., but early shoppers were looking through and purchasing items long before set up was completed. Sales for the day came in at $920 net.

The Mid SFV Club would like to thank many of its members and their spouses, who gave their time and fellowship to this event including: Gary Scaife, Martha Stulman, Marc Tapper, Liat Cohen, Barbara Pampalone, Frank Santucci, RichMiller, Ted Knox (who brought over his tables for us), Mercedes Moreno, Shindi Seecutt, Beth and Alan Ullman, and Robin and Ken Kellogg.

In addition, the club would like to give special thanks to: Jim Tanner of the Van Nuys Club, who was kind enough to donate some items to our sale; Gene Geigoldt, owner of the Canoga Bowl and a member of the Canoga Park club, who generously allowed us to use the southwest corner of his parking lot for the event; and Brandon Nunn of the Van Nuys Airport, who came to volunteer his time. Brandon, by the way, is also the editor of the Rotarygram, the Van Nuys Rotary Club's newsletter.

Items not sold at the event were transported to the Salvation Army in Canoga Park for sale in their thrift shop.
